The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries, Mr Senzeni Zokwana has made a decision to grant Western Cape communities an extension to lodge their appeals on the provisional list of small-scale fishers until the ninth (9th) of December 2016. This decision follows after The Department of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries (DAFF) received a number of requests for the appeals process to be extended for Western Cape communities. The minister considered the request and accordingly wishes to grant communities an extension to lodge their appeals on the provisional list. Unsuccessful applicants are encouraged to use the process to submit their appeals.
