Gauteng Premier David Makhura will on Friday, 25 November 2016, brief the media on interventions made at the Department of Sports, Arts, Culture and Recreation following allegations and counter allegations of corruption and impropriety. Last year, Premier Makhura ordered a forensic investigation into allegations of misconduct and maladministration in the department. To this end, the provincial Treasury appointed an independent forensic team to investigate these allegations.
