Tomorrow, Thursday 23 June, DA Mayoral Candidate for Tshwane, Solly Msimanga, will brief the media as to the true causes and impact of the ANC-induced violence that has engulfed Tshwane this week. Msimanga will also brief the media on the DA's actions to be taken in the coming days. The violence in Tshwane is undeniably political in nature, but the ANC refuses to accept responsibility for the actions of its members. The President, the Leader of the ANC, and the imposed mayoral candidate, Thoko Didiza, are yet to make a public statement condemning the violence or even to call for calm. The DA continues to be the only alternative to the chaos that we are witnessing in Tshwane under the ANC.
